Injury Update On Rams QB Matthew Stafford

He missed Week 10's game.

Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay said quarterback Matthew Stafford remains in the NFL's concussion protocol.

McVay would not confirm that Stafford has been diagnosed with a concussion following the Rams' Week 9 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but the fact that he has remained in the protocol for seven days seems to indicate that he is definitely dealing with a head injury.

McVay said that the team will have a better idea of Stafford's availability for Week 11 by late Tuesday or Wednesday, but John Wolford, who started in place of Stafford this past week, may continue to see first-team reps at QB to prepare for another possible start in Week 11.

Even if Stafford returns this week, he'll take on the New Orleans Saints behind a depleted offensive line and be working without his favorite target in Cooper Kupp.

It's a messy situation in Los Angeles right now, and every week it looks more and more like a lost season for the reigning NFL champions.
