Jets Receiver To Have New Role From Week 11

The New York Jets have been the surprise team of the NFL thus far in 2022, with a major upset over the Super Bowl favourite Buffalo Bills in Week 9, and they've done so despite several injuries to key pieces on the offensive side of the ball. Beyond those injuries, they've dealt with some drama, as second year receiver Elijah Moore became unhappy with his role on the team and ultimately requested his trade, which was swiftly denied.

Since that point, Moore has played a limited role on the team, likely as a punishment for his actions, but coming out of their bye week in Week 10, it appears that Robert Saleh and the offence are going to look to get Moore involved once more, and has told reporters that a big change is coming for his role within the team.

With Garrett Wilson stepping up as the teams No. 1 receiver in the absence of Corey Davis, it appears that they'll now primarily play him on the outside, and this opens up a role for Moore in the slot, and given his speed, elusiveness and great hands, this could really unlock his potential going forward.
