Lions Running Back Missed Practice Today

After missing more than a month of action due to injuries, Lions running back D'Andre Swift returned to face the Miami Dolphins in Week 8, but unfortunately, due to the lingering issues with those injuries, he was unable to play a significant part in the loss, registering just 6 yards on 5 carries in his return game.

Unfortunately, it appears that Swift was rushed back to action too soon, as he missed practice on Wednesday, which could possibly effect his game status for the big divisional matchup with the struggling Packers in Week 9. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Swift is dealing with both shoulder and ankle injuries, and after such a promising start to the year, it's disappointing to see Swift yet again unable to stay on the field so early in his career.

The Lons have got incredible production out of Jamaal Williams as a backup thus far in 2022, so the production won't drop off too much as they seek their second win of the season, and if this team can keep Swift healthy heading into the 2023 season, they'll find themselves with one of the best running back combinations in the entire NFL.
