NFL Rumors: OBJ to Visit Cowboys in December

The interminable Odell Beckham Jr. saga may soon be coming to a merciful end. Fox Sports' Jay Glazer reported on Thursday afternoon that the Super Bowl-winning wide receiver has scheduled a visit with the Dallas Cowboys for December 5th.

A December 5th signing for Beckham could put him in line to appear in the Cowboys' Week 14 matchup with the Houston Texans. He continues to rehab a devastating ACL tear suffered in the Rams' 23-20 Super Bowl LVI win.

Beckham will also reportedly visit with the New York Giants, the team that drafted him 12th overall in 2014. He earned three Pro Bowls in his first three years with the team and totalled an amazing 92.8 receiving yards per game over 59 appearances with the team.

Given the lateness of the season, Beckham is unlikely to be a major contributor in 2022. However, once he has learned his offense and played himself into football shape, he could hypothetically contribute to a team in the postseason. Last year, he hauled in a mediocre 38.1 receiving yards per game at an underwhelming 6.4 yards per target in the regular season for the Rams before stepping up his game in the playoffs. He hauled in 72.0 receiving yards per game at an excellent 11.1 yards per target across four postseason contests for the eventual Super Bowl champions.
