NFL Rumors: Rams Didn't Turn Down Offers For Disgruntled Running Back

Yesterday, reports came out that at the NFL Trade Deadline on Tuesday, The Los Angeles Rams turned down several offers for disgruntled running back Cam Akers, which just didn't make sense, given the ongoing situation between the two sides, as Akers was a healthy inactive for the teams previous two games due to the issues between the two parties.

Now, reports to the contrary have emerged, that not only did LA not turn down any other offers, but were borderline 'desperate' to move Akers, which ultimately, didn't end up happening. Eventually, it appears that for 2022 at least, the two sides may be coming to an agreement that gets Akers back on the field, but it's worth noting that the Rams did try and include him in many deals, but no team was interested.

The Rams kick off the second half of their season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this weekend, and whether or not Akers is active, this team has plenty of work to do to get back into the playoff hunt, but this is still a situation that bears monitoring.
