Packers Waive Former 1st-Round Pick Safety

The Green Bay Packers claimed him off waivers from the Las Vegas Raiders a few weeks ago.

Now, the Packers have released safety Johnathan Abram.

Abram got into just two games with the Packers, recording two tackles. He is being waived for the second time in three weeks.

For his career, Abram has 257 total tackles, one fumble recovery, three interceptions and 11 passes defended.

He is a former first-round pick by the Oakland Raiders in the 2019 NFL Draft. He should generate some interest on the waiver wire from around the league.
