Panthers Confirm QB Will Remain Starter Going Forward

No team in 2022 has had more turnover at the Quarterback position than the Carolina Panthers, who had success with PJ Walker following the struggles of Baker Mayfield, and for the first time in 2022, they turned to 2021 starter Sam Darnold in Week 12.

In a solid 23-10 victory over the Denver Broncos, Darnold was good, without being elite, as he registered a stat line of 11/19, 164 yards, 1 Touchdowns without a pick, and if the run game behind D'Onta Foreman can continue to be a good as it has been since the Christian McCaffrey trade, this is going to be a very tough team to beat.

Darnold didn't play an incredible game, but he made some great throws and protected the ball, and now, Steve Wilkes has officially confirmed that he will be the teams starter going forward as they look to make a surprise run in the back half of the season in a struggling NFC South division.
