Quarterback Change In Carolina

The Carolina Panthers are coming off back-to-back impressive offensive performances under P.J. Walker over the past two weeks, with a 1-1 record in the NFC South over that time, but this week, they had an abysmal first half, falling to 0-35 against the Cincinnati Bengals, and although that performance isn't all on the offence, the Panthers have made a big change.

To start the second half, Carolina have gone back to Baker Mayfield, and although there's virtually no chance for them to chase down an electric Bengals who've got a 35 point lead, it makes sense to go back to the experienced QB, as he may be able to help them get the offence rolling.

Baker was officially dropped as the starter three weeks ago, and the way that Walker was looking as the starter, it appeared that they'd made the move for the rest of the season, but with a pathetic showing on both sides of the ball to start Week 9, they've made a change, so we will monitor the situation and see how the second half shakes out.
