Raiders Place Star Tight End On Injured Reserve

The Las Vegas Raiders season has been a disappointment from start to finish, as they've blown three games with 17-point leads, and with a potentially elite offence, there's no reason why this team should be sitting at 2-6 come Week 9. Much was made about this offence in the pre-season, with Derek Carr, Josh Jacobs and the star trio of Davante Adams, Darren Waller and Hunter Renfrow, but as of right now, they've not been able to keep all of them consistently on the field together.

Now, the team will be without Waller for at least the next four weeks, as the Raiders have had no choice but to place him on Injured Reserve, as he once again aggravated the hamstring injury that's been causing him issues for weeks now.

Rather than try to push it, the Raiders believe that giving him four weeks off and getting him healthy for the final stretch of the year was the better option, and if they can build momentum in his absence, he could return for a potential run at an AFC Wild Card spot. While that seems unlikely, stranger things have happened, but either way, the Raiders unfortunately haven't got rolling in 2022, and now, their star tight end will be missing at least the next four games.
