Ravens Veteran Linebacker Continues Incredible Start To 2022 Season

The Baltimore Ravens just won their third straight game on Monday Night Football over the New Orleans Saints, and while the offence will be a talking point following the game, it was the defence of the Ravens that stepped up and stifled the Saints high-flying attack. It may get lost in the shuffle, but veteran Justin Houston is having himself an incredible start to the year, and with another 2.5 sacks and an Interception against the Saints, he is now up to 8.5 sacks, 1 Interception and 1 forced fumble on the season, despite playing in just 5 games.

The veteran was drafted back in 2011 by the Kansas City Chiefs, and while many believed the 33-year old could have been done in the league, he is on pace for his best statistical season in years, and has taken his incredible sack total to 110.5 in his career. Houston has been one of the most consistent defenders in the league during his decade long career, which peaked in 2014 when he had 22 sacks and 4 forced fumbles, but now, he's proving that he can still get it done.

The Ravens are now 6-3 on the season, and posses great talent on both sides of the ball, with a fantastic blend of veteran experience and youth, and if they continue to grow throughout the 2022 season, this could be a genuine Super Bowl threat in the AFC.
