Saints Cut Running Back

They're done with him.

The New Orleans Saints have cut running back Derrick Gore from their practice squad.
The Saints signed Gore to their practice squad last Wednesday, but now with the signing of David Johnson, the team has no use for him.

In 11 games last season with the Kansas City Cheifs, Gore had a solid 256 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 51 attempts, averaging a nice 5.0 yards per carry. In addition, he had eight receptions for 105 yards on nine targets.

However, the Chiefs waived the twenty-seven-year-old in late August after Gore injured his thumb in a preseason game. The running back should be able to find a team willing to take a flier on him.
