Texans Officially Announce Starting QB For Week 12
The Houston Texans have been brining along second year Quarterback Davis Mills all season long, but despite the obvious talent at running back, this offence has failed to build consistency, and after a fellow second year QB was benched in a more high-profile fashion, Mills has now seemingly suffered the same fate ahead of Week 12.
The rumours throughout the week were that Head Coach Lovie Smith was considering a change with his signal caller, and today, he confirmed that, as Kyle Allen, former Panthers and Commanders starter will take over against the Miami Dolphins.Texans’ HC Lovie Smith announced that QB Kyle Allen officially will start Sunday against the Dolphins.

Allen has been in the NFL for four seasons now, and in that time, he's racked up over 4,300 passing yards, 24 Touchdowns and 17 Interceptions (a 17 & 16 mark as the Panthers starter in 2019), and while he's certainly not the future of the team, he gives this team a better chance to win before the team likely address the QB position at the top of the 2022 NFL Draft.
