Titans Defensive Lineman to Miss Week 12

The Tennessee Titans will be without one of their leaders on defense when they face off against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 12. Defensive lineman Denico Autry has officially been declared out for Sunday's game. Autry suffered a knee injury in the Titans' Week 11 27-17 Thursday Night Football victory over the Green Bay Packers. He logged 28 total snaps and notched one quarterback hit before his exit.

Autry is a key cog in the Titans defensive line rotation. His 7.0 sacks lead the team this year, and his inside push is a big reason why the Titans rank eighth in points allowed this season and second in rushing yards allowed. His absence will be a huge setback against a Bengals team that defeated the Titans in the Divisional round last year and has scored 31.4 points per game over their last four contests.

Autry initially joined the Titans as a free agent preceding the 2021 season; he has tallied an impressive 16 sacks and 16 tackles for loss in 27 appearances with the team. Before the Titans, he spent three years with their AFC South rival Indianapolis Colts, totalling 20 sacks in 40 appearances. A perenially underrated pass rusher and run defender at the defensive tackle position, Autry will be sorely missed by the Titans in every game he sits.
