49ers Defensive Tackle Plans To Return This Week

He has not played since Week 4.

San Francisco 49ers defensive end Arik Armstead practiced in a limited capacity on Thursday.

Armstead then said that he plans to play on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, after making just one limited practice on Thursday.

Regardless, it's a nice boost for the already stout 49ers defense. Last season, across 17 games, the twenty-nine-year-old defensive tackle recorded 63 total tackles and six sacks.

If Armstead suffers any setback of sorts, it will be T.Y. McGill seeing snaps in relief. Armstead is a former first-round pick by the 49ers in the 2015 NFL Draft.
