49ers Former First-Round Pick Defensive Tackle Ready To Return

Ready for a return.

The San Francisco 49ers have designated defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw to return from the injured reserve.

Kinlaw played in just three games this season before hitting the injured reserve coming off an ACL reconstruction.

Kinlaw will reportedly return to practice on Wednesday and has a good chance to return to game action in Week 16. Head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters that as soon as the twenty-five-year-old is ready to return, they will play him.

For his career, Kinlaw has 43 total tackles, 1.5 sacks, one interception and four passes defended over 21 games. He is a former first-round pick by the 49ers in the 2020 NFL Draft.
