Cardinals Zach Ertz Reveals He Suffered Even More Injuries

Arizona Cardinals tight end Zach Ertz announced on Thursday that the season-ending surgery he underwent in late November addressed ACL and MCL damage in his left knee.

With the recovery timeline usually associated with ACL surgeries, Ertz will not be available for the team's offseason program this coming spring and with the addition of an MCL repair, that complicates the process even more.

Ertz did say that he hopes to be ready to go for the start of the 2023 season, but even if everything goes smoothly, that seems rather unlikely.

Ertz finished his season with 47 receptions for 406 yards and four touchdowns on 69 targets. Trey McBride has taken over as the team's top tight end for the rest of the season.
