Cleveland Browns and RT Conklin Agree to Huge Extension

The Cleveland Browns are committing to their star right tackle for a long, long time. According to his agent Drew Rosenhaus, offensive lineman Jack Conklin has agreed to a four-year, $60 million extension with the Browns, linking him to the team through the 2026 season. Conklin has started 12 games for the Browns this season, earning a 68.6 overall grade from Pro Football Focus for his efforts. The Browns have accumulated the fifth-most rushing yards in the league this year, partly due to his run blocking.

Conklin initially joined the Browns as a massive free-agent splash in 2020, signing a three-year, $42 million deal after four years with the Tennessee Titans. He earned a first-team All-Pro in his first season with the Browns but struggled with injuries in his second year, missing 10 games. He negotiated a modest pay cut before this season in exchange for increased guarantees and incentives. His flexibility and his play this year have apparently earned him a lot of goodwill from the organization; his new extension will carry him through his age-32 season.
