Cleveland Browns Wide Receiver Expected to Miss Week 15

The Cleveland Browns are likely to be without one of their top pass catchers for their Week 15 AFC North showdown with the Baltimore Ravens. Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reports wide receiver David Bell is expected to miss Saturday's game with a toe injury.

Bell sustained a toe injury in the Browns' Week 14 23-10 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. He nabbed all three of his targets for 27 yards while playing 68% of his team's offensive snaps. He has 23 receptions for 196 yards in 13 appearances this season.

Bell's unavailability will make it difficult for the Browns offense to get on track against their division rival Ravens. Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson has yet to find his footing since returning from a streak of 28 missed games dating back to 2021, netting 403 passing yards and leading his team to only 16 offensive points in his two starts this year. Bell's absence will mean Watson is without a familiar target on Saturday.

Bell joined the Browns as their 99th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft after three productive years at Purdue. He totalled 2946 receiving yards in 29 appearances for the Boilermakers before declaring for the draft. He profiles as a sturdy, gritty slot receiver in the NFL.
