Giants Sign Linebacker To Active Roster

He will suit up this weekend.

The New York Giants have signed linebacker Landon Collins to the active roster.

With the Giants thin at both linebacker and safety, Collins' role will be increased, as defensive coordinator Wink Martindale said he's ''very comfortable'' increasing the linebacker's role.

In three games this season, the twenty-eight-year-old has four total tackles. The eight-year veteran's natural position is at safety, however, as previously mentioned, the Giants have a great need for linebacker help so they've been utilizing Collins in that position as well.

With Tae Crowder being bumped off the active roster earlier this week, Collins should be in line for a larger role moving forward and will do everything he can to maintain a spot on the 53-man roster.
