Green Bay Packers Wide Receiver Exits With Hip Injury

The Green Bay Packers came out with a much-needed win on Sunday, but they'll have another injury to manage over their final two games of the regular season. Wide receiver Christian Watson exited in the second half of yesterday's 26-20 win over the Miami Dolphins with a hip injury and did not return. Watson nabbed six of his eight targets for 49 yards before his departure. He ranks second on the team this year in receiving yards (496) and first in touchdowns (seven).

An extended absence from Watson would be a major obstacle for a 7-8 Packers team that remains in the playoff hunt. They currently find themselves on the outside looking in for a Wildcard spot, but if they can win their final two games of the season against the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions, they'll have a chance. They'll also need losses from the New York Giants and Washington Commanders.

Watson joined the Packers as their 34th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. After a slow start, the rookie has come alive over his last six games, totalling 408 yards and seven touchdowns while helping the Packers to a 4-3 record.
