Injury Update On Giants Safety

He has not played since suffering a hand injury in an ATV accident during the team's Week 9 bye.

New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll said that safety Xavier McKinney could get the pins in his injured left hand removed soon but is doubtful to play this week against the Philadelphia Eagles.

McKinney is currently on the reserve/non-football injury list, but he's said that he expects to return before the end of the season.

He'll, of course, need to have the pins in his hand removed before he can make a return, and Daboll made it sound likely that the safety will return to the team once that happens.

In eight games this season, the twenty-four-year-old has recorded 38 tackles, one sack, one forced fumble and four passes defended.

McKinney was the Giants' second-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
