Jets Running Back Doubtful For Sunday

Trending in the wrong direction.

New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh said Friday that running back Michael Carter is doubtful to play on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings.

Carter was unable to practice on Wednesday and Thursday this week, and from the words of Saleh, it sounds like he has not improved much in a day.

With Carter not expected to be available this week, that could give James Robinson the starting role at running back again, after he was a healthy scratch last Sunday. Ty Johnson and Zonovan Knight could also see increased roles.

In 11 games this season, the twenty-three-year-old has 370 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 99 attempts.
