Miami Dolphins Running Back Questionable for Week 15

The Miami Dolphins could be without their most efficient back when they face off against the Buffalo Bills in a monumental AFC East clash in Week 15. Running back Jeff Wilson earned a questionable tag due to a hip injury on the team's final injury report ahead of their Saturday matchup.

Wilson played a limited role in the Dolphins' Week 14 23-17 Sunday Night Football loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, logging eight snaps and carrying the ball four times for 26 yards. He has totalled 238 rushing yards at an excellent 5.4 yards per attempt in his five appearances with the team this year.

An absence from Wilson this week would be an unfortunate development for a Dolphins team that needs all hands on deck for Saturday's visit to Buffalo. With a win, the Dolphins could pull within a game of the AFC East-leading Bills and would hold a crucial tie-breaker. The Dolphins topped the Bills 21-19 in Week 3.

Wilson joined the Dolphins in a trade deadline move earlier this season. They sent the San Francisco 49ers a 2023 fifth-round pick in exchange for the fifth-year back. So far, he's been everything the Dolphins could have hoped for: his 47.6 rushing yards per game and 5.4 yards per carry with the team are well beyond his previous career averages of 38.5 and 4.4.
