New England Patriots Wide Receiver Suffers Head Injury

An already thin New England Patriots offense may have suffered another setback early on Monday Night Football. Wide receiver DeVante Parker left in the first quarter of tonight's matchup with the Arizona Cardinals and is questionable to return. Parker was removed from play after demonstrating concussion symptoms. He had hauled in both of his targets for 24 yards before his exit.

Entering tonight's game, Parker was second in receiving yards on the Patriots with 436. The team's leading receiver Jakobi Meyers is already inactive with a concussion of his own. The Patriots are also without running back Damien Harris and tackle Isaiah Wynn. They may be approaching a critical mass when it comes to injuries on one side of the ball.

Parker joined the Patriots earlier this year via trade with the Miami Dolphins. The Patriots sent the Dolphins a 2023 third-round pick in exchange for Parker and a 2022 fifth-round pick. He has one more year on his contract to reward the Patriots' investment.

UPDATE: DeVante Parker has been declared OUT.
