NFL Reveals NFC Players of the Week for Week 13

The NFL announced its NFC Players of the Week for Week 13, and they include a quarterback ascending to superstardom for the NFL's best team and a defensive lineman expanding on a proud family legacy.

On offense, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts wins for the second straight week thanks to his 380 passing yards and four total touchdowns in a 35-10 dismantling of the Tennessee Titans. The spectacular passing day came one week after Hurts dominated the Green Bay Packers with his legs, rushing 17 times for 157 yards. The two games illustrate the impossible position the third-year quarterback puts his opponents in; no quarterback can threaten opposing defenses in both phases this year quite like Hurts.

On defense, San Francisco 49ers edge rusher Nick Bosa wins for his sensational 3.0 sacks, two tackles for loss, and one forced fumble in a surprising 33-17 win over the Miami Dolphins. Bosa's dominant game was a big reason why his team survived the first quarter loss of starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo to a foot injury. Now with 14.5 on the season, Bosa leads the league in sacks and is sure to be making his family full of pass rushers proud. Brother Joey is a four-time Pro Bowler for the Los Angeles Chargers, and father John was the 16th overall pick of the 1987 NFL Draft.

As for special teams, Detroit Lions kicker Mike Badgley gets the nod for his perfect day against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Badgley nailed four extra points and four field goals in the 40-14 win, including three from 40+ yards.
