New England Patriots Super-Utility Rookie Misses Practice With Injury

He's coming off a massive game on Saturday.

New England Patriots rookie cornerback Marcus Jones was a non-participant in practice on Wednesday.

Jones being listed on the injury report definitely comes as a surprise, as there were no previous reports of him having suffered a concussion.

It remains unclear as to when it happened, as he was again massively involved in Saturday's loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, recording a 15-yard reception, 14 tackles, and returned a 69-yard interception in the game.

The twenty-four-year-old rookie will have to clear the league's concussion protocols first if he wants to suit up for Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins.

In 14 games this season, Jones has 33 total tackles, one fumble recovery, two interceptions and seven passes defended. On offense, he has four receptions for 78 yards and a touchdown on four targets. He's also functioned as the team's kick returner and has one punt return touchdown on the season.

He should definitely be in the conversation for rookie of the year.
