Philadelphia Eagles Activate Star Tight End's Practice Window

The dominant force in the NFC is about to get one of its top weapons back. The Philadelphia Eagles activated tight end Dallas Goedert's 21-day practice window, and he is expected to come off injured reserve in time for Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears.

Goedert has missed the last four games with a shoulder injury suffered in the Eagles' 32-21 loss to the Washington Commanders, their only loss of the season. He averaged a career-high 60.4 yards per game over his nine starts before his stint on IR.

Goedert is an incredibly valuable and efficient pass catcher for the Eagles; his 10.3 yards per target this year are the most of any player on the team with more than five catches. He was well on his way to a Pro Bowl season before his injury, and his return should only widen the gap between the 12-1 Eagles and the rest of the NFC. They sport the league's best record and are the top-scoring offense in the league.

Goedert initially joined the Eagles as their 49th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. He has progressed and grown his role on the team at a remarkably steady rate, improving his receiving yards per game every season of his career.
