Pittsburgh Steelers Waive Kicker

The Pittsburgh Steelers has turned around in a big way as of late, and while their chances to make the 2022 playoffs are slim, a victory over the old rival and AFC North leaders the Baltimore Ravens would increase those chances plenty, so getting a veteran back for that matchup will be a massive positive.

This week, the Steelers will get veteran kicker Chris Boswell back from Injured Reserve, and now, that means Matthew Wright, Boswell's replacement for the better part of 2022 has been released after a very successful 2022 season.

In 2022 for Pittsburgh, Wright has nailed 12 out of 14 field goals, and at 26-years of age with plenty of NFL experience, he should no doubt find a starting job somewhere soon, based on the success he has had thus far in his career.
