Saints Cameron Jordan Says He Has Foot Sprain

He was fined $50,000 for allegedly faking an injury in the team's Week 13 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan said Monday that an MRI revealed that he has a foot sprain.

In response to being fined $50,000 and the team's coaching staff $500,000 by the NFL for allegedly faking the injury, Jordan responded by saying, ''if this was a civil lawsuit, I'd countersue for triple the amount.''

Jordan also said he had proof in the form of a ''fat foot'' that ruined his bye week.

With the Week 14 bye, the thirty-three-year-old has likely had enough time to recover and be ready to play, but his practice status throughout the week will still be worth monitoring.

In 12 games this season, the 11-year veteran has 44 total tackles, 5.5 sacks, one forced fumble and two passes defended.
