Carolina Panthers Head Coach Has Favourite For Defensive Coordinator Role

After weeks of searching and many fans calling for Steve Wilks to get another shot, the Carolina Panthers have found their next Head Coach in the form of former Panthers Quarterback Frank Reich, and now as he puts his staff together, he has reportedly identified the Defensive Coordinator that he wants on this staff.

While he's already interviewed and been linked to other jobs, that man would be veteran Head Coach/Defensive Coordinator Vic Fangio, who was the Defensive Coordinator for the Panthers when Reich was playing Quarterback, so it's safe to say that these two have plenty of history.

Fangio has been heavily linked to the Dolphins job, and it may take them making him the highest paid Defensive Coordinator in the NFL to get it done, but if they were able to do it, this would be a massive turnaround for the Panthers early in the off-season.
