Detroit Lions Safety Likely To Play In Week 18

The Detroit Lions have a massive game upcoming against the division rival Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football, and if the Los Angeles Rams upset the Seattle Seahawks earlier in the day, this one will be played for the final NFC Wild Card spot.

Both teams have been red-hot as of late, despite still dealing with injuries issues, and fortunately for the Lions, who've been starved of playoff success, they'll be getting one key player back, as safety DeShon Elliot is considered a lock to make his return for this crucial matchup.

Elliot was asked about the matchup on Friday, and had some harsh words for Packers QB Aaron Rodgers, saying that he doesn't respect Detroit and that they'll play some hard, smash-mouth football against him in Week 18, and if they play their best, this could finally be a chance for Detroit to get a big one up on Green Bay.
