Green Bay Packers Linebacker Walker Ejected

The Green Bay Packers broke hearts everywhere with their 20-16 loss to the Detroit Lions in Sunday Night Football's regular-season finale, and there's plenty of blame to go around. Rookie linebacker Quay Walker had a particularly egregious evening, earning an ejection for shoving a member of the Detroit Lions training staff.

In the fourth quarter of last night's game, Detroit Lions running back D'Andre Swift required attention after absorbing a forearm to the head deep in Packers territory. A Lions trainer bumped into Walker on his way to Swift, and an annoyed Walker shoved the trainer in retaliation. Walker was promptly ejected, and Lions running back Jamal Williams ran in the game-winning score a few plays later.

It was the second ejection of the year for Walker. He was also thrown out of the Packers' Week 8 27-17 defeat to the Buffalo Bills for shoving a trainer on the Bills' sideline.

Walker joined the Packers as their 22nd overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft after four years at Georgia. He appeared in 17 games this season and notched 121 passes while breaking up seven passes.
