Houston Texans Sign Preseason Hero WR

They liked what they saw.

The Houston Texans have signed wide receiver Alex Bachman to a reserve/future contract.

Bachman joined the Texans' practice squad in mid-November, but he was never elevated to the active roster before the end of the season.

Bachman previously spent time with the New York Giants, appearing in four games but never recording a target.

The twenty-six-year-old made some noise in the preseason this past year, catching 11 passes for 122 yards and two touchdowns in the Giants' 25-22 win over the Cincinnati Bengals back on Aug. 21.

He'll work to earn a role with Houston next season, and he should have a decent chance, given the state of the team's receiving corps.
