Kansas City Chiefs Activate Wide Receiver to 53-Man Roster

The Kansas City Chiefs are getting back a speedy, versatile pass catcher right in time for the playoffs. The team officially activated wide receiver Mecole Hardman from injured reserve, adding him to the 53-man roster.  Hardman has missed the last eight weeks with an abdomen suffered in the Chiefs' Week 9 20-17 win over the Tennessee Titans. He accumulated 328 yards from scrimmage and six touchdowns in eight appearances to open the season.

Hardman was one of the Chiefs' top pass catchers before his injury, so their already elite offense could jump a level if he can hit the ground running. He'll likely compete with Kadarius Toney for WR3 duties behind Juju Smith-Schuster and Marquez Valdes-Scantling.
