Las Vegas Raiders Quarterback Cleared to Start in Week 18

The Las Vegas Raiders will get one last look at their young quarterback before the offseason. Jarrett Stidham was not listed on the team's final injury report ahead of their Saturday game against the Kansas City Chiefs, indicating he is fully cleared to play and start.

Stidham started last week in the Raiders' 37-34 overtime loss to the San Francisco 49ers and distinguished himself admirably against the league's top-ranked scoring defense, netting an eye-popping 365 yards while throwing three touchdowns and two interceptions. It was his first career start; he played in place of recently benched three-time Pro Bowler Derek Carr.

Stidham should have one last chance to assert his value to the Raiders on Saturday against the Chiefs. The team is allegedly targeting current Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady in free agency, but another exceptional performance from the young passer may very well make them think twice.

At the very least, a good game could potentially earn Stidham a lucrative deal as one of the league's better and more promising backups. He is set to hit unrestricted free agency following this season.
