Miami Dolphins QB Bridgewater Injured

The Miami Dolphins are down to their third-string quarterback. Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater exited his team's Week 17 matchup with the New England Patriots due to a hand injury.

Bridgewater slammed his hand off a Patriots defender's helmet on a game-swinging pick-six that handed the Patriots a 16-14 lead. Skylar Thompson replaced him in the lineup and promptly threw an interception of his own.

The Dolphins are already without their QB1 Tua Tagovailoa today because of a concussion. He is not expected to return until the postseason. At 8-7, the Dolphins need to win out over their final two games in order to guarantee themselves a Wildcard spot.

If forced to play extensively, Thompson could easily sink the Dolphins' playoff hopes. He has struggled in relief duty this season, throwing two interceptions and stumbling to an ugly 52.2 passer rating on 53 pass attempts entering today's game.
