New York Giants Clinch Wildcard Spot

The New York Giants are heading to the playoffs. With their 38-10 win over the Indianapolis Colts, the Giants have officially clinched a wildcard spot and will see postseason action for the first time since the days of Eli Manning.

The Giants earned their spot with today's effort. They utterly dismantled the Colts, holding Indianapolis passers to 124 yards on 29 dropbacks and nabbing a pick-six. The Giants scored 31 unanswered from the second quarter to the third quarter. The Colts were simply never in it.

The Giants offense certainly played its part. Quarterback Daniel Jones played one of the better games of his young career, passing for 177 net yards on 24 dropbacks while adding an explosive 91 yards on 11 carries. Jones also totalled four touchdowns today through the air and on the ground.

The Giants now find themselves in the enviable position of having to decide whether or not to rest their starters in Week 18. They face the Philadelphia Eagles, who could potentially surrender home-field advantage with a loss.
