Cleveland Browns Rumors: Free-Agent WR Becoming Top Target

The Cleveland Browns are hoping to bounce back from what was a bad 2022 season. They finished with a 7-10 record and were at the bottom of the AFC North, so it is apparent that changes are needed if they want to be a playoff team in 2023. One area that they should be focusing on is the wide receiver position, and now there are rumblings that they will be one of the many clubs making a push to sign JuJu Smith-Schuster this offseason.

Smith-Schuster looks like a very good fit for the Browns on paper, as he has shown that he can be a high-impact wide receiver whilst playing at his best. He was a valuable asset for the Kansas City Chiefs during their Super Bowl run this season, as he recorded three touchdowns, 933 receiving yards, and 78 receptions in 16 games played. With that, his play seemed to improve during the postseason.

The Browns are going to need to make multiple moves this offseason, and adding Smith-Schuster needs to be one of them. However, they surely will have competition, as the New England Patriots, New York Giants, and Dallas Cowboys are some teams also looking to sign him. With that, the Chiefs also are open to re-signing him.
