Dallas Cowboys Re-Sign Kicker

While there's been plenty happening for the Dallas Cowboys over the last month or so, the biggest story of all has to be the insane struggles of kicker Brett Maher in the playoffs, as he missed four Extra Points in the Wild Card round win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Amidst those struggles, the Cowboys signed kicker Tristan Vizcaino as depth to cover Maher, and now, they've officially re-signed him ahead of free agency, and he will likely compete for the starting role for the 2023 season.

In limited opportunities over the past three seasons for San Francisco, New England and Arizona among others, he's converted 11 of 12 field goal attempts, while being 15 of 20 on Extra Points, so while the jobs not a guarantee, he appears ready for a starting role.
