Dallas Cowboys Sign Linebacker

Keeping him around.

The Dallas Cowboys have signed linebacker Malik Jefferson to a reserve/future contract.

Jefferson joined the Cowboys last offseason and failed to appear in a game during the 2022 season, but he'll get another chance to earn an active roster spot next season now.

Over his five-year career, the twenty-six-year-old has operated mostly on special teams, recording 16 total tackles.

He was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Before joining the NFL, he played college football at the University of Texas.

During his time at Texas, from 2014 to 2017, Jefferson recorded 246 total tackles, seven sacks, two interceptions, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. Photo Credit: Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports
