Denver Broncos Interview Former Jets Head Coach For DC Role

The Denver Broncos made a big splash when they hired Sean Payton to be their next Head Coach, but subsequently lost Defensive Coordinator Ejiro Evero to the Carolina Panthers, and with a potentially elite defence, they need a veteran to fill that role.

Reportedly, they turned to a very surprising source, as the team have now interviewed former New York Jets Head Coach turned ESPN analyst Rex Ryan, and while it's unclear if Ryan 100% wants to come out of retirement for the role, it would certainly make for a fun addition to this team.

With Russell Wilson, Payton and Ryan, this team would be full of storylines heading into the 2023 season, but beyond that, Rex is one of the best defensive minds around the league right now, so while he would certainly be missed on TV, it would be a great pickup for Denver.
