Jacksonville Jaguars Re-Sign Veteran Quarterback

Many people expected the Jacksonville Jaguars to take a big step forward in 2022 with the addition of Doug Pederson and several weapons around young Quarterback Trevor Lawrence, and they did just that, giving this fan base plenty of optimism as they recorded one of the most incredible playoff wins of all time over the Los Angeles Chargers.

On Friday, they made a solid move to keep those good feelings together, as the team have signed veteran Quarterback C.J. Beathard to a contract extension ahead of free agency, and while there's bigger moves to make, having the veteran presence remain around Lawrence is certainly a good one.

The 29-year old entered the NFL back in 2017 as a third round pick, and has spent the last two seasons in Jacksonville, and while he's appeared in just six games over that time, he's a good, valued presence in the Jaguars locker room.
