Los Angeles Chargers Officially Name New Defensive Coordinator

The Los Angeles Chargers showed plenty of promise in 2022, and while they may have fallen in a very disappointing way over Wild Card weekend against the Jacksonville Jaguars, this is clearly a team on the rise and one to watch in the coming years.

For them to take that next step, there was likely going to be plenty of changes this off-season, and now the organization have officially announced the first of those, with Derrick Ansley named as the new Defensive Coordinator following his success as DC in Tennessee and defensive backs coach last season for LA.

They'll need to make some changes on the field too if they are to step up to the level of Kansas City or Cincinnati, but with the core pieces there for success, this could finally be the off-season that leads LA to become a genuine powerhouse in the AFC.
