New York Jets Have Begun Extension Talks With All-Pro Defensive Tackle
The New York Jets took a big step forward in 2022, and while there were improvements and breakout seasons from plenty of players, none influenced the teams success more than All-Pro Defensive Tackle Quinnen Williams, who led this team to a top-5 defence in the NFL.
Now, it appears the team is looking to keep their homegrown superstar in the Big Apple for a long time to come, as they've begun conversations on a long-term extension as Williams enters his fifth season in the NFL.
2022 was finally a breakout year for Williams, as he tallied 12 sacks, 55 tackles, 2 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery and 4 passes deflected, and given his rise in recent years, it's expected that he becomes one of the highest paid in the NFL at his position.#Jets GM Joe Douglas says they’ve started early conversations with All-Pro DT Quinnen Williams on a potential contract extension.
