NFL Rumors: 49ers Brock Purdy To Undergo Surgery On Torn UCL

According to San Francisco 49ers' beat writer Matt Maiocco, quarterback Brock Purdy is likely to undergo surgery on his torn UCL.

Although nothing has been confirmed yet, Purdy is reportedly expected to undergo surgery and face a six month recovery timeline afterward.

Purdy suffered a torn UCL in the 49ers'  NFC Championship Game loss to the Philadelphia Eagles but has apparently been seeking out multiple opinions on his injury.

Regardless, surgery was really the most likely outcome for Purdy, who is expected to be ready for training camp if the procedure goes well. However, we'll know more later.

Purdy and Trey Lance will both enter training camp coming off major injuries and are expected to compete as the 49ers' top-two quarterbacks. That being said, the 49ers could very well bring in a veteran quarterback, as has been mentioned recently.
