San Francisco 49ers Interviewed Veteran Coach For DC Role Today

The San Francisco 49ers came so close to making it back to the Super Bowl, and while they fell short of their ultimate goal, they showed why they are one of the best organizations in the NFL, and as a result, they're constantly seeing Coordinators come and go for better jobs, with DeMeco Ryans being the latest in a long line.

Today, the began the process of replacing him, by interviewing one of the most respected defensive coaches around the league, in the form of former Carolina Panthers Interim Head Coach Steve Wilks.

Given how well run the 49ers franchise is from top to bottom, bringing in such an experienced veteran would be the perfect move, and with so much talent on the defence, this team would thrive under Wilks as they look to finally bring home their sixth Lombardi.
