Arizona Cardinals Sign Former Eagles Linebacker

The Arizona Cardinals have signed linebacker Kyzir White to a two-year contract worth up to $11 million, according to sources.

White, who previously played for the Philadelphia Eagles, is coming off of two straight seasons with over 100 tackles and has been a steady performer for most of his NFL career.

He played a crucial role for the Eagles last year, totaling 110 tackles, 1.5 sacks, seven passes defended and 3 tackles for loss in 17 regular season games.

White's signing is a much-needed boost for the Cardinals' linebacking corps, which saw five of its seven inside linebackers become free agents this offseason. He is expected to start alongside talented young linebackers Zaven Collins and Isaiah Simmons.

The 26-year-old linebacker's familiarity with former Eagles defensive coordinator and current Cardinals defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon likely played a role in the decision to sign with Arizona.

With White's production and experience, he should be a valuable addition to the Cardinals' defense in the upcoming season.

He's entering his fifth NFL season, having recorded 388 total tackles, three sacks, two forced fumbles, four interceptions and 17 passes defended across 64 games.
