BREAKING: Denver Broncos Sign Top Available Defensive End

The Denver Broncos have made a big splash in free agency by signing former Arizona Cardinals defensive end Zach Allen to a three-year contract worth $45.75 million, including $32.5 million guaranteed.

Allen was a former third-round pick who worked his way up from a bench player to a full-time starter this past season.

In 2022, he recorded a career-high 5.5 sacks, 47 tackles, and 10 tackles for loss in 13 games. His breakout season with the Cardinals has now earned him a sizable paycheck in free agency.

Allen will also be reunited with defensive coordinator Vance Joseph, who previously coached him in Arizona, making the transition to his new team easier.

The contract won't become official until the start of the new league year on Wednesday, but the Broncos have landed themselves a reliable defensive option for the next three seasons.

Over his four-year career, the 25-year-old has recorded 138 total tackles, 11.5 sacks, three fumble recoveries, one interception and 15 passes defended across 45 games.
