Detroit Lions Sign Defensive Lineman To Two-Year Deal

The Detroit Lions have re-signed John Cominsky, a versatile defensive lineman, to a two-year, $8.5 million contract.

Cominsky had a career year with the Lions in the 2022 NFL season, recording four sacks and three passes defended in 14 appearances.

His ability to play both off the edge and line up inside made him a valuable asset in defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn's defense.

Over his four-year career, the 27-year-old has recorded 71 total tackles, 5.5 sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and five passes defended across 41 games played.
Despite his impressive performance, Cominsky did not attract significant attention in free agency, leading to his return to Detroit.

As he enters his second season with the Lions, Cominsky is expected to provide depth and support for the team's defensive line.
