Houston Texans Claim Young QB Off Waivers

The Houston Texans have struggled in a big way over the past two seasons, but with a new Head Coach in charge and two picks at the top of the 2023 NFL Draft, they have a good chance to get this rebuild started on the right foot.

While getting their Quarterback of the future in that draft will be crucial to any future success, they have also be looking to build depth, as they claimed young QB E.J. Perry from the Jacksonville Jaguars on Wednesday, as he could be good depth for the team going forward.

The 25-year old went un-drafted in the 2022 NFL Draft, and served as the third string QB in Jacksonville throughout the season, and while he'll be serving a similar role in Houston, it certainly gives him a better chance at stepping up the depth chart.
